Instagram Data Deletion Instructions
Effective 22 August 2026
1. Revoke future access
The owner/administrator of a connected Instagram Professional account may revoke the application's access through the relevant Meta/Instagram connected-app or business-integration settings. Revocation stops future authorized API access but may not immediately delete data already stored by us.
2. Request deletion from us
Email alek.szczerbinski@gmail.com with subject Instagram Data Deletion Request.
Include the Instagram username or account identifier relevant to the request, the email associated with your Inbox Analytics Sandbox account if you are a customer, and a short description of what you want deleted.
Do not send passwords, access tokens, recovery codes or other authentication secrets.
3. If you messaged one of our customers
If you sent a DM to a creator or business using Inbox Analytics Sandbox, that creator/business may be the controller and we may act only as its processor. You can contact that creator/business directly, or contact us and we will route or assist with the request where appropriate.
4. What deletion can cover
- stored Instagram message content and metadata;
- conversation IDs and Instagram-scoped identifiers associated with the request;
- derived summaries, classifications, embeddings/search-index entries or other linkable personal-data-derived analytics;
- customer account data where account deletion is requested.
5. Backups and legally required retention
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until normal rotation removes it. Backup copies are not used for ordinary processing. We may retain limited information where required by law, needed to establish or defend legal claims, or required to document completion of the deletion request.
6. Confirmation
We respond to valid requests within the period required by applicable law. Where necessary, we may request limited additional information to verify identity, authority or the scope of the request.
